Due to legislation it is now a legal and enforceable requirement to carry out a fire risk assessment under the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005.

Risk assessments must be in accordance with the given standard (PAS 79) and be undertaken by a competent person resulting in a suitable and sufficient assessment.

Please ask yourself the following questions:

  • Do I know what the requirements under PAS79 are?
  • Am I trained or experienced enough in fire safety to carry out a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment?
  • Do I know enough to about fire safety to be able to implement suitable solutions to reduce any potential risk of fire?
